It's not everyday that an evening turns out to be loads of fun, great food and an opportunity to see the intelligentsia of Delhi society, its who’s who (and not to miss the remarkable Chief Minister of Delhi - Smt. Shiela Dixit,) all relaxed and upbeat. And it’s not everyday that the evening also brings forth a national award for Environment Activism to Wildlife SOS.

Celebrating Van Mahotsav with Tree Plantings

Every year the first week of July is celebrated as Van Mahotsav in India. This year Wildlife S.O.S. marked the event with the plantation of over a hundred trees inside the Sur Sarovar Bird sanctuary in Keetham, Agra. On the 2nd of July 2009, Wildlife S.O.S. Agra in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Forest department and the dist. Panchayat started the tree plantation in the Agra Bear Rescue Facility. Read more »
